Title: A Good Garage In Manchester
Post by: Eddie07 on February 13, 2014, 01:15:40 pm
I'd like some work doing to the engine and a full/dsg service.

Does anyone know of any garages that they can recommend other than Awesome and Prosport?

I'm not discounting them, just wondered if there is anywhere else people have heard good things from or good personal experience from.

Thanks in advance

I know it's a little further out but Vortex in Congleton is first class.

Is this near the mini tesco? tuckin an industrial estate kind of in the middle of a housing estate towards the road leading to Holmes Chapel? I might be thinking of an exhaust place lol not sure.

Try Lodge Service station in Gorton:

http://car-service-manchester.co.uk/ (http://car-service-manchester.co.uk/)

They are a VAG and Porsche specialist.

Very reasonably priced and received an excellent level of service. Give them a call and speak to the boss Mick - mention you spoke to Richard with the Ed30. I was literally in for an oil change on Tues.

Hope this helps

Rich

EDIT: I asked for a quote for DSG service and he quoted £110

Nothing wrong with Awesome for their servicing skills. Reasonable prices, genuine parts, VCDS and most of what they work on comes from VAG. Seen a few R8's there for a service so obviously trusted!

They were very thorough when servicing mine  :happy2:

I retract the last statement as I can't find the post and not fair to point finger and can't remember the garage in question, I remember a year or 2 ago someone had there car stolen without keys and had car in at a garage somewhere recently before and it was all a bit fishy
