Installed a new after market panel air filter and now I seem to get a chatter if I let off as it spools up?? But if I let it him boost I just get a hiss n carry on. Anyone no the reason ? The filter isn't much diff from the standard one.

you may possibly get slight more chatter but shouldnt be loud

Nah it's not loud but with windows down you can hear it slightly. Just wondered why? Thought chatter was bad for the turbo ?

It gets even louder with an intake.   :mad:

If its anything like the Focus ST it wont be 'chatter' in the traditional sense (air going back through the turbo) but will be your recirc valve dumping excess air back into the turbo. It always does it bit a better flowing filter/intake will increase the sound.

Need to get more from mine, going to have to swap the current PiperX venom for an open cone i reckon.
