Title: Ipod Prep
Post by: Blake-R on September 30, 2009, 11:55:36 am
Hey guys some of you may have seen i picked up my new Gti yesterday and i have the iPod prep kit, and I'm trying to work something out. Is it just me or does the kit seem to mix the songs up into a shuffle. I just can't seem to find a way to listen to an album i want.

I think i read on here that it was pretty crappy  :ashamed:

Are you pressing the mix button on the head unit as that would explain the present behaviour.

No i had that on at first and i switched it off as i thought this may be the case, but it is still doing it. If i want to find an album it's quite difficult.

Thanks for the help with this.

with the i pod prep. you are better off setting up playlists, or do what i do and take it out the dock, select the album and put it back in the dock. its not the best of things.

:happy2: Exactly what i have been doing bud, your rite it's not the best of things. Also i've noticed it takes away a bit of the sound quality. Possible because it's an mp3 file and not a wav though.

Is it mixing the songs up though? I found it played them in alphabetical order rather than the track order. Think it went by filenames or something.

As above, use a playlist.

Which HU do you have?
