Title: Console bushes?
Post by: D3hnt on February 14, 2014, 09:42:58 pm
Any advice please

I have purchased some VWR springs. I have bought top mount and bearings bolts etc and thinking of replacing my console bushes at the same time (the rear aluminium bracket ones) then doing a geo

Which bushes would you go for?

Soild TT bushes - but not direct fit or swap bushes over
S3 bushes - near solid, direct fit
Stick with normal
Any others?

Would you change anything else?

Thanks

TT/S3/Cupra bushes themselves are the same. TT console is different.

Don't go for the same you already have.

Go superpro SALK.

You can buy the TT bushes seperate but I don't know the part number
I got mine from Darkside for £20.
Then they're pressed into the standard housing.

For cost vs performance they can't be beaten.
Superpro kit alex said is good as well as an upgrade, it's better yes but does cost more  :happy2:

Thanks for your replies

To be fair I don't think they need changing yet, but I want to whilst I'm doing the rest

I'm undecided on what to do, I was think of pressing the bushes in. I might go awesome gti in the morning

What's the life of these then. Did mine last year and wondered when they will die again
