Title: Best Courier?
Post by: Leonpettit on February 15, 2014, 10:49:25 am
Hi all,

looking at shipping some alloys from a member on here to me. I've seen prices of approx £50-60 insured, which I'm happy with, but lots of them have mixed reviews.

I was leaning towards P4D (who use Yodel) based on price. Any previous experience?

Any input is much appreciated!

Thanks

For wheels I have always used Paisley Freight, usually they use City Link (and much cheaper than £50 unless you have loads of insurance on top)

Have a look at parcel 2 go. You I put the sizes and weights and they quite lots of companies and prices. I got alloys moved for a lot cheaper.

I sent my alloys which I sold from my GTR with Interparcel. I taped the alloys together face to face (cardboard on each face first) and wrapped them in polythene so I had 2 parcels each 45cmx45cmx45cm. With insurance it worked out at around £25 to send both parcels.  :happy2:

I used ones of ebay, two sets of wheels, was like ~£30 each set, no problems. Also used carpartcouriers for a bonnet, £24 or something delivered to the highlands, pretty good I'd say.
