Title: My Edition 30 is going ... Z4M pictures now added :)

After a mad few weeks looking at cars I didn't need and considering mods that ... well, equally weren't really needed ... I have agreed to sell my edition 30 :(

On Saturday I go to pick up a blue Z4M Roadster in totally mint condition on a 56 plate ... older than the ed30 but with only 11K miles on it.  The poor Golf has done nothing wrong and has been going really well, without any rattles or creaks but I made the mistake of trying the Z4M on a nice day and am going back to the world of convertibles (just in time for the sh*te weather  :grin:).

I've had 18 great months with the Golf and would love to keep both cars but don't unfortunately have the space and definitely not the money!  It seems odd selling a car I love but I am a nightmare and get bored (as shown in other threads !)

I have enjoyed reading stuff here and will continue to visit as it is the premier Gti forum in my view with friendly people   :happy2:  Even though I will obviously stop indicating immediately I drive the Beemer I will never underestimate the power of a Golf and treat them with care  :wink: 

Oh, and FWIW a remapped edition 30 feels near as dammit as quick as the Z4M - more so infact at some speeds .... and that's just a Stage 1 car !!    You just can't get the roof off .....  :laugh:

Anyway, bring on the weekend  :evilgrin:

Edition 30 now officially gone .... and Z4M has arrived in the drive  :evilgrin:

Quite sad actually .... but the Beemer is awesome  :laugh:

FWIW and to amuse  Edition 30 owners ...... I really don't think a Z4M is quicker than a remapped Edition 30 !!!  At high speeds maybe as the car is relentless once it gets going  :wink:  but not at anything legal !   I think the edition 30 / RS4 video shows that ... and a Z4M is not quite as quick as an RS4 ....

No, the Edition 30 was LS 08  ....

The Z4M is HK 56 ...

Pics will come - just a bit keen on driving it at the moment   :laugh: ... will try to get wife to take some as she is a professional photographer  :smiley:

Just filled the tank ( having already got through the half they gave me :oops: ) and will be off to the coast tomorrow to famiiarise myself with it

Ahh ok, thought it was a Y plate because of the low milaege! (the Y plate cars are mostly ex BMW UK cars that only do about 2K miles in their first year.

Enjoy it! Truly brilliant car!  :happy2:

Always liked the Z4, the misses had one as a second car, a 2.5i with nice Turbine wheels, had to sell it as my daughter past her test and we also ran out of room on the drive. Now I have the pleasure of looking at a Fiat Punto instead  :confused:

@OP - I'm not a fan of BMWs in general but the new Z4 looks stunning and you've chosen a superb paint. The stance of that car is spot on.

@NeilM, that Z4 wasn't yours was it? and the young lady...?

The background is actually the East Beach Cafe at Littlehampton  :laugh: :laugh: 

The other half thought it would be a bit different - which is why she is a professional photographer and I am not  :grin:

The funny thing is I used that picture to sell the car on PistonHeads Classifieds, it seemed to work it was sold in a week. I did get a few replies of 'how much for the bitch' though.  :signLOL:
