:signLOL: I'll speak to the guys about that.
Come on, there must be things you like... Things you don't like.... Things you would like to see happen?

I remember SteveP was once thinking of a credit system. Do you remember what that was about?
TBH my bugbears are simply:
1. Slow forum - obv this has been improved since the server migration
2. necro-bumping - people posting in threads that are more than 12 months old with nothing new or special to add
3. post bumping - similar to above - one or two word posts to boost post count in order to be able to PM/buy/sell
4. Newbies asking why they can't do this/that/the other. Not sure if things are stated clearly at sign up. Maybe everyone under 10 posts needs a permanent banner reminder of the rules?
-
Agree with point 4 above, perhaps they should get the site guidelines on sign up - or have them right at the top of the forum rather than a child board under new member intro, as not all new members go To intro

You do get the site guideline on sign up don't you? I think I did... People just don't read.. Like T&Cs

Unfortunately there is not much we can do about people writing two word replies to bump up their post count. All we can do is try and spot it happening, remove said posts and return their post count to Zero. Same with people asking the same question over and over again. If member don't read the rules then there isnt much we can do. I am trying my best to but the "banners" up on the main page to notify you of changes and important things.

Some forums have a minimum character post count. You could also put stickies in the appropriate sections.

You mean the stickies at the top of the for sale section that no one reads??? :innocent:
I will look into minimum post count. But I don't want to do that really.

The forum has run great for years, so helpful, well that's maybe due to the folk on here, but the layout is great, it's user friendly(when you figure out how to use everything, the fact it is running faster is great on it's own...
Just the safety of the members! :rolleye:
I would say it's hard, in fact very hard to start of topics when just joining on a forum, so i can see where the new guys are all coming from...
Search button highlighted as your new friend ! :signLOL:
Not matter what, it will be good!
As it's says in my sig, "If it's not broke fix it"
or used to say that, now it says "If it's not broke mod it" :nerd:
Great job :happy2:

first off love the forum nice and simple and easy to navigate not confusing at all keep up the good work. Only have a little suggestion which would be to have a little tick box to keep you logged just find it slightly annoying logging in every time.
cheers, Aaron

You can do that. Id you log out, then hit the login link top right instead of just typing your details in. Then check the "keep me logged in" box :happy2:

Love the forum so far, but, partly selfishly on my part, is there any possibility to have a section for each mk5 type?
Gti 2.0 tsi
GT 140/170 diesel
GT T Fsi 170
Then a section for non GT normally aspirated
?
If there is enough content could even add other classes also, R, R32, E30 etc.
Thanks
-
The problem with that is that a lot of info on the 2.0 TFSI engine applies to others too, so you'll end up with loads of repeated info which may lead to confusion. Although there could be a shout for a diesel maintenance and tips board as there's a growing number of them showing up, plus comparing tuning results is always good reading.

We could do. But as the name suggests, this is primarily a mk5 GTI based forum that stretches out to the TFSI and TSI Platforms.
We are a niche market
