MK5 Golf GTI

Hi, I feel like I've lurked on here enough and its time to get posting!
About 6 months ago I picked up this MK5 140 GT TDI.

Shortly afterwards a friend of mine who had bought a GTI front end for his Golf unfortunately (for him) broke it beyond repair so I managed to get it at a bit of a knockdown price as he was keen to move it on. Now my car looks like this. (You'll have to excuse my mad paint skills on the number plate) Also since that photo was taken I have fitted the fog lights.

I'm hoping to start to play around with it a bit more this year to try to get more out of it, I guess in terms of value for money a remap is probably the safest bet straight away.
I don't know how many people on here are TDI owners but having looked on this forum quite a bit since buying mine I've already picked up some useful info about MK5's in general, so thanks!
I look forward to talking to you all a bit more.

Thanks for the welcomes guys.
Also the black GTI lights are on my to-do list but I've just invested in an R32 style rear bumper and exhaust (the exhaust isn't Miltek or anything fancy at the moment) which I should be getting sprayed and fitted in the next week or so.
After that its onto headlights and performance upgrades.
