Title: Golf R Lead Times?
Post by: Deako on February 17, 2014, 08:04:42 pm
Are Mk7 Golf R lead times likely to slip to 8-12 months like the Mk6 Golf and Scirocco R?

Just out of interest........

 :popcornsoda:

Also, has anyone else seen any better deals than Drive the Deal, £2700 discount on a 3dr DSG with solid white and 19" Pretoria.

Future planning. Problem is that the lease deals are way better than you can buy one on PCP for.  I had hoped the new Rocco R was going to be based on the new chassis with updated infotainment, but as that's not happening.........

Thought you'd shifted the 135i on due to lack of use and not being 'special' enough for a weekend car?
As nice as a Golf R will undoubtedly be I can't imagine it's much different to the 135i as an ownership proposition..

But, I guess deep down we all need an excuse to change cars when the next new shiny thing comes around so best of luck mate  :happy2:

It didn't get any use. Primary reason and I have the chance to get my mortgage down to 0.5% but need more equity (second reason). I thought it was specia every time I got in it though, I always fancy something like an £8k Westy sat in the garage non depreciating, but in this torrent of a country, that would barely get any use either.

I'm not looking at anything for another 8-12 months. Hence asking about lead times. I'd love to spunk a load on a Cayman S, but I'd feel even worse about that depreciating like a stone.
