Looks pretty special to me :notworthy:
-
Also look at the new Polo R. 250bhp, 4WD and multi-link rear suspension. :happy2:

I've heard it's not coming the UK . Real bummer as I'd pretty much convinced SWMBO that we NEED one :sad1:

Really? I think you may be confusing the Polo R WRC which was a left hooker only special.
-

^^ the one and only S1
-
The S1/Polo R is certainly a very tempting platform, sadly too small for my family duties otherwise I'd be seriously tempted...
S1/Polo R, Golf R/Evo, Cupra 280 and the S3+, 2014 is going to be a great year to be a VAG fanboy :happy2: :driver:
-
1300kg and map to 370bhp stage 1 if it's running the new s3 engines as some say

Id have thought it would run a tuned GTI lump rather than R/S3. Exciting proposition if it is though. 120bhp on a stage 1 map.

Hoping it's not true

I think the Polo R is going to be a future track star. Fingers crossed the platform is shared with SEAT so theres an even cheaper version.

Ahh, Whatcar speculation. :D

Potential to be a little rocket.
Hopefully is a bit exciting to drive too.
-
Pretty sure the S1/Polo R is going to be running the good old TFSI K04 lump..
In which case though, a small light hatch, 4wd, DSG and stage 2+ will be a FAST car!
-
That's the sportback
-
Looks good and with it having the 2.0 TFSI lump it's gonna be tuneable beyond the standard power output
-
Crap video, but looks nice doesn't it. Look forward to seeing the Polo R.

It will be a new engine I'd have thought considering the old K04 one no longer meets the required emission levels.
-
Yeah it won't be the old one, that's discontinued now

Lots of places saying on the web that it's a TFSI and not a TSI - I'm thinking at lesser power (228bhp) it will meet the requirements?

Audi use TFSI for their marketing afaik on all their engines. No TSI badges in the range
