Title: Saw toothing
Post by: cass on February 19, 2014, 08:42:30 pm
Right guys got the common mk5 saw tooth problem on the rear tyres. But the thing that is puzzling me is that it's only on one side, near side rear. I've recently had a four wheel laser alignment done and everything was fine. I've read a few things saying rear shocks get weak and cause this problem?? Can anyone give me any advice

Did the alignment people notice the tyre fault?

I would replace the tyre in question and then monitor the wear from there after having that sides suspension checked!

When I had mine done they noticed that one of my coil springs had broken and the shocks were weak. So replaced all that 2 new tyres + laser alinement solved hope this helps. :happy2:
