Drove to essex last night with family roughly 25 mile trip there and back. My sister noticed car wobbling side to side at low speed roughly around 20-30mph. When I reach speeds of 70mph the wobbling stops and a slight vibration occurs in the steering and the car which I'm guessing maybe the wheels are not balanced. As for the wobbling at low speeds I'm unsure :( Car is a mk5 golf 2005 with 120k on it. No other problems. Any ideas?

Sounds like a Possible Buckled wheel?

or a out of shape tyre

Yeah sounds like a buckled wheel, unbalanced wheel or a twist in the tyre............or could be a suspension part but id be guessing ;)

In addition to above make sure your wheel bolts are securely tightened.

Will pop to garage tomorrow and get wheels checked out. Is it true that if it was the ffront heels that were buckled the steering would wobble along with the car at low speed? As this is not the case. I'm guessing it's the rears?

Managed to find time today so ...Found out guys!! It was actually wheel balancing and bent tyre! Replaced all 4 while I was out as they were all quite worn!! Thanks for help!
