Hello,
Quick question. Had my car into vw a couple of months ago due to the car sounding rough, hunting and not boosting very hard. I'm sure they said they replaced the pcv valve possibly?
Well looks like it's gone again.
So what's the best idea? Is there an upgrade or is it just a blanking plate I need?
I've tried searching but loads of different answers like....
Blanking causes problems
Get a catch can
Just replace valve etc etc.
Thanks.

The new revision valves are strong as they use them in the VW racing cup and also people on here have heavily tuned Tfsi with the oe valve working fine. That said it doesn't mean they don't or wont fail. Id look at other issues and find out whether the rear PCV is working. Also if you have access to vagcom, it might be worth doing a fault code scan and some live data logging to see what the car is doing. Also check the basics like spark plugs etc.

Thanks for your reply
Strange because it's exactly the same fault as before symptoms wise.
Surely vw would have replaced it with the revised version..... God knows.
I will have a look thanks.
Reluctant to take it to vw even though it's under warrenty as they have now twice questioned if the car is remapped...... Hahaha

I got accused of having a remapped car when my car went in for some warranty work because the tech could hear the dump valve.... :signLOL:
