Has anyone gone from a sorted ED 30 to an S4? I was considering going this route before I stage 2+ my current Ed30. I've worked out that to bring my Golf up to the standard I want which means investing in APR stage 2+ software pump exhaust inter cooler big brakes diff and clutch will be an 8k investment at the very least. This will be all dead money when it comes to resell down the line. Or do I purchase an S4 which you can currently buy from between 18-22k. The tuning potential on these as we know is great and with a proper sports diff and 4wd they must be pretty devastating around the track?
Has anyone gone this route or sampled a stage 2 S4?

They are a cool car, like you said, can be made very quick too!
MRC do a stage 2 package which is drive in drive out with pretty much 500bhp all for £1500, a bargain really!
A Golf would be more fun around the track though I reckon.

I am looking at going S4 Avant from my well sorted Eddie but tbh they seem to be quite expensive still when looking at a similiar 335i touring, yes the s4 is quicker point to point but is it £5-6k better?

Looks wise the 335 is a pig compared to the S4 :innocent:

the touring looks better than the avant to me?
but the s4 saloon prob looks better than the 335...

Seems like an S4 is certainly a viable option that would certainly be money better spent. I hate losing big big money down the line which mods to the Ed 30 will certainly incurr.
Still undecided at present. I have also looked at B5 RS4's!

The b8 s4 is a lovely car.
Will probably use a lot more juice though but the stage 2 YouTube videos look brutal
