Ive just scanned my car with Vagcom and as can be seen i have a few faults, im just looking for some guidance on what these mean and how to put these right. Heres the scan.

For the engine fault code would first try doing an intake manifold runner basic setting
Prerequisites:
Ignition ON
Engine OFF
System voltage at least 11.0 V.
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 142
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
Wait until Field 4 shows "ADP. O.K.".
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
Switch Ignition OFF for at least 60 seconds.

thanks mate i have just done it, shall i give it a week then rescan to see if this has fixed the issue?

If it comes back then I would think about changing the intake manifold motor to the latest version (06F133482E) as it's a known weak spot.

It's one of those tools you use to learn.
It would take to long to write it all down - basically it's in the safe section so you can't do any harm.

i just carried out the measure value blocks with vagcom and the window wiper switch seems to work fine, it shows the stage changing as i use the switch but the fault is still coming up when i scan :/ any ideas?

Clear the DTCS. For that module then redo the measuring block testes then an output test and see if the faults still there.

yeah the car has a rain light sensor as it has auto wipers and headlights

I have noticed that sometimes ill put the auto wipers on and they will be going crazy even with the smalled bit of rain and I adjusting the sensitivity does nothing, does this prove its the switch?

My thought would still be with the switch - dealer says they sells more switches than rain sensors!

While the test is running the actuator arm should move to fully open and close the flaps
