Title: Knocking noise
Post by: Raffhussain on February 21, 2014, 06:22:14 pm
Hi,

I have started to get a knocking noise from around the passenger side. When driving on bumpy surface there is a constant noise, sounds like its it coming from the dashboard around the passenger side but i cant pin point exactly where. dont know if its the dash itself or something to do with the suspension.  Also if make a right turn you can also hear like a creaking nosie. I have had the rear wishbone console bushes replaced not long ago along with 4 wheel alignment. The noise was present before and after.

Thanks for the help

Could be a few things as I've learnt.

Drop links, steering rack, top mounts.

I had a similar thing and it was my drop links luckily

Thanks for the response
I will take a look at the drop links. Cold weather doesn't really help. You say steering rack can also cause it?

It can. But they are very expensive so your best of checking the running gear which are cheaper to replace first off all

I'd go with the drop links too
