Title: Anyone in Stafford able to change steering wheel please?

Hi guys.
Got a mk6 gti wheel that I need to swap for my recently trimmed one. However having difficulty getting the mk6 airbag off.
Is anyone around stafford able to help me out.
Also need to have the tool to remove the centre bolt please.
I'm free all day tomorrow if anyone can help out.  :happy2:

Hi Al.

Sorry Im not around to help but bit of advice. Its a b***h to remove the airbag as you say and gotta be careful not to deform the edges of the cover while pulling.

So get someone to pop a flathead in to unhook the airbag on one side and then you grasp the airbag from the the top and side using both hands and pull steadily with a constand force. If it doesnt budge get the person whose holding the flathead to joggle it a bit and should come free! Worked for me!
