Guys!
I'm sure this has been covered to death but here goes. 06 GTI- I have an intermittent suspension "clunk". It seems to be drivers side, not always there, seems if you go over rough ground of terrain you hear it and it is transferred through the wheel.
I've had it on a ramp and pushed, pulled at ARB, drop lis etc, and had it on a shaker plate test on the mot ramp and everything looks tight enough. I'm thinking top mounts, but could do with anyone else's input also.
Thanks in advance!

Ive had this before.turn out to be top mounts worn. Worth checking

Cheers for the reply! I'll go down that route first.

If you're feeling through the steering wheel chances are it's the top mounts. I had an intermitant knocking which was diagnosed as a worn steering rack which was not exactly cheap!

Stretched Subframe bolts and washers seem common for knocks not easy to detect modified versions being fitted!

I know the feeling just got mine back with new rack, top mounts and feels like a new car
