Title: drivers door would not unlock

drivers door would not unlock with  the remote last night and this morning, opened with the key and then everything ok rest of the day , was this just s glitch ie lost its way or do you know of problem

Yea its really common for door locks to fail on the mk5s! Id get it changed now before thry wont at all! I do know a ay to grt them openso if you get stuck give me a pm and il tell you.Or if your anywhere near Bristol il change it cheap!

Good shout! its a easy job! can do it in half hour! just watch the rubber o-ring that holds the carrier to the door doesnt break when you take it off.

Also worth getting it scanned as it could be a broken wire in door wiring loom. Like mine for instance.

booked in for to orrow morning south heredford vw also gonna get my glow plugs done whilst there , they will fit mine for £94 all in so not too bad , just hope the door is an easy fix
