Title: Time to make my Mark ........ 5!!!

Since these pics ive been a very busy boy and have had the Headliner, A B & C pillars removed for trimming here in Northern Ireland and have the Dash Centre along with the Ashtray and Gear Gaitor surround stripped out and sent to Berkshire to Jairm off the forum here for trimmimg, few pics of what I have been left with...

Post by: Dave7692 on February 27, 2014, 12:42:53 pm: Looking great, thats some serious modification you've got going on already. I'm sure it'll look spot on once everything's fitted. Is it a 1.9 or 2.0 TDI?

Just out of curiosity is that Pioneer head unit have built in Sat-Nav or does it require your phone's GPS? If its built in I might have to look in to getting one myself. Was it plug and play or did you need to update the electrics like with the later VW head units?

@xjay1337 haha no probs lad a wee sneaky preview never hurt anyone and Jairm seems a top bloke!!

@Dave7692 its just a 1.9TDI but once all the prettiness takes place I will start to the horsepower side of things. the headunit uses apps on your phone linked to the unit itself and comes with a GPS antenna but the phone needs to be connected so im not 100% sure, no mods needed just plug and play with separate power lead/handbrake override needing pliumbed in and ur away!!!

@Zseth no up to date pics just yet but picking up a few parts from VW tomorrow and dropping them off with the painter so will grab a couple then!! lol!!

@Mk5_Jim hahaha well ive owned the car a year and a half now so a slow burner to begin with but now yeah its kinda got outta hand!! lol!!!

@JaseGti the UK lights are Red fog light on drivers side, and the US lights are Red fog on OUR passenger side, so when you put a US Spec fog light in the tailgate all your rear lights will have the look of Red outer Circles with Clear Inner Circles!! :happy2:

i ave the US style R32 rear lights but i just took the foglight lens out and fitted the reverse light from my stock ones :happy2:

@Wildengti the US parts are mainly from VW, if you get a decent enough dude behind the counter its amazing what they can actually do for ya when they want!!! if anyone needs part numbers I have pleanty!!! lol!!!!

@Leigh200sx yeah its nearly 2ys now in the making so planning is key, I fear I may be running out of time for the Big VW show over here at the start of april, something tells me ill probably be finished only the night before it!!!

the ride with the wheels isn't too bad its def bearable and yeah they are a ton weight so ya need a hearty breakfast before starting any wheel off business!! lol!!

thanks man!! :grin: its all genuine VW parts, the fog lights and chrome accents on the fog grilles are the only non genuine bits on the front end, if u nee any part numbers let me know!!

the oil cap was £38 or something like that just on ebay, front bumper along with nearly everything else on the build is all done with OEM parts buddy!! :wink:

lol oh I know all to well they are pricey mods alright.. the black lights are all from VW is you need the part numbers I have them here... I also have a set of 2nd hand ones here for sale if you want them???? couple marks on them so price is negotiable!!! lol!!
