Title: What Practical Estate or 4x4 ?
Post by: garrardrj on February 28, 2014, 01:23:37 pm
Well the Edition 30 is going to be sold , i'm not putting a Towbar on it !

Have decided that another car with a towbar already fitted (one that folds away) is the way forward , four wheel drive would be a bonus ansd i am veering away from rear wheel drive due to slippery icy road problems especially towing something .

So what you think i should get upto £30k

Should have added that i am thinking BMW X5 Xdrive35d and the car has to have something about it rather than just being a workhorse . S4 Avant has been thought about but just looks too much like every other S Line Audi Avant .

S4 = Stealth mode = WTF  :driver:

If your going to do work for people you don't want to look to flash, they'll think you charge to much :signLOL:

Tiguan, there are loads of people from here on the Tig forum, though a 2015 new model would put me off buying a new one now.

330d or 530d tourers? £30k will get a good one in both with X-Drive.

Sensible running costs and plenty of pace.

You've not said what you need it for, so I reckon it's drug dealing. In that case...

Unfortunately, the interior is a bit "old man", but you didn't say how old you were either....  :jumping:

I am an old man - Well not in my eyes but probably in most on here , it rhymes with Nifty  :scared:

Drug dealing is very profitable and i know all the dealers in our area too

RR's are Fantastic tools but totally OTT for my requirements , even the small diesels still struggle to get 20mpg and the Road Tax is stupid . If running costs did not come into it i would have one though .

X5 please

Or S4

If RWD wasn't a problem I'd have the 5 series.

Sorry about that, skimming through the thread and missed the important bit about £30k

Would probably therefore suggest a nice spec X5. Have X6's fallen to that price point yet ?
