Title: Creaking from the rear. Anyone else?
Post by: B1NCC 1.8T on February 28, 2014, 10:54:26 pm
For some time now I have had a very slight creaking noise from the rear of my edition 30 3 door.
I fully checked over car other night, no broken springs leaking shocks etc
Drop links are in good condition and rear brakes don't bind in the slightest.

But this slight creaking noise is still happening. It's been there for a long time but it's starting to bug me now.

Anyone else had similar symptoms.

Thanks Chris.

Is it a metal on metal creak or a plasticy kind of creak..? I sometimes get the plasticy creak but always put it down to the door cards creaking...

I have quite a bad creaky rear end  Mine is most definitely anti-roll bar bushes.

Mine started a few months after putting on an Eibach rear ARB. I have some new poly grease to put on.

It's not a metal creak.
Could be the rear door cards tho.

It doesn't happen when going over bumps either which is weird. More like when body is flexing.
