Title: Spark Plug Condition- what do you think?
Post by: Gide76 on March 01, 2014, 11:06:10 am
Hello all,

Been having a slight hesitation under load at around 4500 rpm. I understand this could be coils, MAF, PCV, DV or plugs so started with the cheapest option!

These are the plugs I took off what do you think of the condition? I don't think they have been changed for a while and touch wood issue hasn't presented................. (Yet)....

For £30-35 it's probably worth doing... I posted a thread on it a week or so ago about it (got slatted for saying that the dealer hadn't changed on last service), made a huge difference to power delivery and idle, although still slightly rough.

Looks like you're running rich but you can get the same look if you only do short slow journeys.

Cheers guys, touch wood it all seems much better. No evidence of plugs being changed so I suppose it is possible this was the first time (92k).

Still, £30 well spent.......
