Title: Some Help
Post by: zenicman9 on March 03, 2014, 08:43:43 am
Hey Guys

So I am looking for some advice, I have had 2 golfs both TDI's and then a SKODA VRS and a Leon FR Tdi 216 Stage 2

My question is now the leon has gone I am looking for another dub I think :)

I was considering a DC5 but I think my heart is telling me a GTI or ED 30.

I have £6500 to spend does anyone know what I could realistically get for this?

I doubt you get a ED 30 for £6.5k but you should be able to get a decent GTI for that.

Definitely no ED30. But as the above says, you are GTI money there

Hello,

Common faults from research on this forum include:

1) Diverter Valve - get a rev G version
2) PCV - I think rev N is the latest - can somebody confirm please?
3) Cam Follower - not really a fault, but needs to be swapped out (not sure how often though)
