Title: Moral dilemma!
Post by: airborne2 on March 03, 2014, 06:39:11 pm
Hey All

Let's just say you got a tasty little tax rebate, not saying I have or haven't

But..........would you tell your wife, share it with her or buy her something nice?  :innocent: Or.............buy something awesome for your Golf???

Hummmmmm!

Personally, i'd not saying anything about it and buy something for the golf

Then IF she ever notices just tell her you bought it ages ago but they had a issue with shipping. Problem solved :drinking:

Treat your good lady wife plus get something for yourself or the car.

I get so much more pleasure surprising my wife and the girls than I do on spanking money (no matter how much) on the Mistress (by which I mean my Eddy).

Its a massive trust thing going on - im not saying you dont trust her but if she ever finds out (and the law of sod will dictate that she will!), she will see it as a massive sign of distrust. Would want to be in your shoes that day!

However, as many have said, surprise her with gifts and she will be so jazzed up that should couldn't care less where you spunk the rest on!

Who paid the tax in the first place? So who does the tax rebate belong to?

Then again, married persons tax allowances are because you're married, so any tax rebate would arguably be because you were married, and if you weren't then it would either be much less or non existent at a guess.

It's your money, and I strongly suggest buying the wife something.  :drinking:

Just tell her and spend it together. These things make for a long lasting and happy future

Buy your xenons and book a hotel with spa day for you and the missus as a surprise.

Or tell her you got a tax rebate and it's going on the car

She might not even want anything?

Would you like your Wife to have this "kind" of secrets as well ? not telling troth about things like that is not right at all.

Asking this type of question put the question mark on how truthful you are to your life partner... which is a bit shame really.

Okayyyyy, was just a bit of a fun question really. Luckily I'm not in a position with my wife where trust is an issue!!!  Thanks for all the serious advice anyway..... :signLOL:  :fighting:

I would spend it on something you want. It's your money your earnings.

Too many people are under the thumb these days lol

By any chance are you a single ? Or simply do not live with other half ?

Is not about to be under a thumb but about trust in relationship.

Where's the trust if your missus kicks up a fuss if you spend your hard earnt on car parts! Lol.

This is where you need to work things out but not telling truth is definately not good option for future...

I do not have a problem with my GF and car parts as long as we discuss all options.

Car designers talk about trim, door handles and lights as "jewellery".  So, if you want Xenons, then just tell her you're buying jewellery.

What could possibly go wrong?

i would tell her that i got a tax rebate and i'm buying a big turbo.   :jumping:
unless we had mutual debts or had otherwise decided we needed money for something else.
