Post by: Alzak on March 04, 2014, 12:54:06 pm
Hi All

Will 370mm discs and brakes from RS3 fit behind 18Inch alloys in Seat Leon Fr ?

Think you need the ttrs discs, as the rs3 ones needs rs3 bearings !

That is correct, 10mm wider bearings to my knowledge, you need the TT-RS discs to get it to work

After that you could still need to run 10 mm spacers on the front !  :happy2:

I had TTRS brakes fitted to my Leon with 18" Seat Sport BBS alloy 7.5" ET51 and had to use a 12mm spacer.
The caliper actually rubs on the inside of the alloys though  :fighting:
I plan on using the calipers again but with the fitting kit so I can use TTS 340mm discs.

I have oryginal FR 18Inch alloys and I believe they have offset ET45 ...

You mantioned some fitting kit do you have any link where I can see it ?

Aks do the fitting kit for rs3/ttrs calipers fitting to r32 discs or if u want a bigger setup then u can go for the daveb ttrs discs with fitting kit, benefits of the daveb kit is that the discs sits inner(around 4-5mm)& the disc is 32mm compared to 34mm,so u might can get away on not using spacers..not cheap though

So will that be similar to Pescaras then?

I risked 12.5mm spacers behind my pescaras and they just, just fitted!! Had to remove the wheel weights because they were rubbing on the caliper.

I'm thinking of ttrs calipers with ttrs 370mm discs so basically the ttrs setup on my golf R...been reading on American forums that I will need a 10mm spacer to clear the calipers if im running on oem 19x8 tallies but I'm worried that I might get rubbing as I'm lowered on H&R springs...

I've read that the TTRS discs are very poor quality.

It's impossible, 18s at a minimum, 19s would be recommended.

I think the discs are too big for 17"s
U would need 18"s min mate
