So many moons ago I was in my 20's and back in the day the car of the day was 16v 3 door mk2 (PXI 2333). Our Son was born and after some 6 months we had to get rid as it was a right pain to get him in & out, so the valver went for a family car. Roll forward some 19 years and our boy is at University and the time has come to pass on the A6. I drop hints at a GTI which is received quite well and the hunt is on. I also looked at GT sports and found a couple to look at. My son & I set off to go and have a look but the GT had been sold and this left the GTI. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, so a price was negotiated and cash changed hands. I picked it up on Christmas Eve with my "boy" sat beside me it was a real family moment for us. I haven't stopped grinning since and absolutely love it. One owner, FSH in the blue I wanted (oh and a 5 door!). Apologies for the crappy photo but it feels like the first day without rain :star:.

Looks very nice, especially in that blue - not a very common colour I don't think?
