So I'm in line for a new motor in August, started looking already,I'm torn between a Audi A5 2.0 TFSI and a Mk 6 Gti,
Two questions,I'm assuming the Audi engine is the same as the Mk 5 Gti so can be mapped much the same as the Golf ?
Are there many maps out there for the Mk 6. ? And does the mk6 have a Ko4 turbo ?
Cheers guys.

No it's k03s and the engine in the a5 is slow the car weighs a ton
-
Get ed35 lol. Best of both worlds
-
Ya,I saw the BHP figure is only 180 so assumed it was due to the weight.
Thats a bit poor, but I could take it to Rtech to get it boosted
-
Sorry,I should of stated that I have around 15k to spend.
-
Are there any maps our for the MK6?? Seriously?? It's been out since 2009, all the mainstream tuners are on it.
It's an IHI turbo which is a similar size to the K03. You get a little more power at stage 1 than a K03 GTI would. K04 conversions possible and are actually cheaper than doing on he mk5, as there is no need to upgrade the HPFP :happy2:

I thought the A5 2.0T was 211 bhp?

Lol,to be fair I've not been looking into mods for the mk 6,I have every intention of mapping it should I go for one,but i will want R-Tech to do it. :happy2:
Looking further at the A5 it appears that the 2.0T drinks oil which can lead to the turbo failing,I've also had a BMW 330d put to me ...... Oh the choices

It appears there are both 180HP and 211Hp, what makes them different is beyond me.

That 211ps (208bhp) motor looks like a little known 'vvt with lift' variant to me. REVO maps this to 300bhp :happy2:
Info off REVO Website........
UK: AUDI A5 2.0 TSI (211) : Stage 1 :
Petrol 2.0TSI 211bhp / 258lbft to 305bhp / 472lbft
(Wiki info blow.............................)
DIN-rated motive power & torque outputs and applications - Audi/SEAT valvelift variants:
155 kilowatts (211 PS; 208 bhp) @ 4,300-6,000 rpm; 350 newton metres (258 lbf·ft) @ 1,500-4,200 rpm — CAEA/CAEB/CDNC: Audi A4 (B8), Audi A5, Audi Q5, SEAT Exeo

Thanks Mark, that really is an amazing figure for a stage 1 as thats is some power increase

If you enjoy the way the golf drives and handles you won't like the a5.

They'll both handle like a bus compared to the golf.
Only engine i'd get in the a4 is the 3.2TFSI.

throwing this out there as it's the only car I think I'd get over a gti... S3?

I just can't get over the looks despite the great engine... the front is like a blobfish

Lol ! And combined with the fact they are only good to 120mph (if Top Gear is to be believed )

Been in my friends a5 3.0 tdi and it handles brilliantly for a car its size.
4wd, it eats corners at stupid speeds.
