Hello all :)
So today I went to look for a golf, I found a few and one I liked 87k on clock, one owner, full history, Grey Monza wheels, Cambelt change.
Now he wants £6495. Its spotless but doesn't have a small rip in the seat!
But all been well I should be the owner tomorrow

I really do love that buying a 2006 GTI can still have that effect on someone.  :notworthy:

Got my ED30 at 10am. Done the deal over the phone so hadn't seen it (other than some pictures where it was filthy).
Luckily it was a minter :jumping:
Barely a scratch on it. The one (and only) previous owner had never let it want for anything  every service and other maintenance & repairs done at VW with a stack of receipts and invoices to prove it.
Even with 66k miles it drives like new and feels very tight.
Already retrofitted cruise control and installed IPhone lead. Unfortunately my mate broke the electric lumbar support on the divers seat  so will have to get that fixed.
Checked the DV and found it's an original Rev C, amazingly it's still fine with no rips or tears
Off to Ultimate Dubs tomorrow it it :drinking:

It was great, handled well, was very good on fuel but the Mrs was moaning about the big heavy doors and how low it was. The high boot lip was a PITA too.
So after looking at mk6 GTI's and not really being blown away, the only car that fitted the bill without spending mega £ was another MK5. . .
