Just browsing through ebay and found this - if we can all be vigilant and keep an eye out - I certainly will,

Poor guy, I admire his determination.
Regards Gareth

keep a look out for it
why did the owner leave the keys in the ignition with the car unattended thou
-
its awful! but i wouldnt never leave my car running! not in this country in this day and age
-
I know, I dare say he's thinking the same "oh... I'll just run in" - pity - just think if it was yours - I'd be mortified  - so long as we can all keep a look out for this poor fellow's car - I think he'd appreciate it.
-
it will be on fire by now i would think

not good
-
oh yes, no question of my being absolutely gutted for the guy. especially as his insurance is outa the window
-
wot an idiot, £20,000+ of car and he leaves the keys in it!
poor guy but own fault methinks! tasty motor too
-
i am sure he could still cliam as what happens when people take your keys from your house as it happened to my mate and his insurance paid out .
-
the diffence is thou the keys where locked up in the home...where in this case he left them in the ignition...hope he gets it sorted thou
-
Well if it a hand car wash like we have near me then you give the car and keys to the attendant who then gets one of the lads to wash it. After washing the car would just be parked on the lot with the keys in the ignition.
-
Never used a car wash so don't know how it works but I do feel sorry for the chap.
I leave the keys in when I go to open the garage door - am more worried about the turbo/engine wearout than it being stolen. The way everything is where I live (garage is behind the house), I'd spot someone and run towards the car faster than they'd be able to.

Basically he's screwed
Deep within the small print of his Insurance document it state's you should do all in your power to keep you car safe and take every reasonable effort to do so, and leaving your keys in the ignition under any circumstance whilst the car is unattended does not constitute this.
Personally I don't need anyone to tell me how stupid this is as I value my car and would never dream of leaving the keys in the ignition. :fighting:
It's unlucky but the owner hasn't helped himself and would get no sympathy from me im afraid! Merry Christmas :santa: :xmastree:
-
Hell I got nervous and sweaty about leaving my keys in the ignition at the stafford meet, and there were twenty other cars in the same situation!
