Title: RNS 510 H04, highest firmware?
Post by: hazzaj199 on March 08, 2014, 11:06:42 pm
Hi, i have an RNS 510, it is a rev C (1T0035680C) (might be 0 or o, i'm not totally sure.)
Hardware version 4
It is currently on 2706
I was wondering what would it's highest firmware be before it blew the radio tuner?
Thanks in advance

3810 to set up the triple partition, then 4120 for radio text if you want to go higher.
You'll need to reload music, maps & POI's, but only once.

4120 for radio text
What is radio text?
Could it possibly blow up my radio tuner or can i just upgrade as far as i can with my unit?
Thanks!

Radio station text.

4120 is as high as you would need to go with a C, I have 4020 on an A. First you should go to 3810 for the new partition layout.

I'm running 4120 with Radio Text Version C. Wasn't too bothered about 3810 as I use the SD card for my music etc.
