Title: Intermittent light

Mk5 GTI Pirelli O/S side light doesn't know if it wants to work or not. The dash info says it isn't working and the amber warning light comes on, but after being left a while and the ignition being turned off and on a few times it comes back on again. Got its MOT tomorrow and its bound to go off again even if I tell the MOT fella! Anyone had the same problem or solutions?

Is it a standard bulb?

If its led they usually cause problems like that
