Has anybody tried this DAB hatch aerial?
Is it any good?
Is it connected to power supply, as well as rcd510?
or should I go for a roof aerial replacement?

I use the hatch aerial for dab, the power for it come from the VW stereo, to worse part of the job is through the rubber in the hatch, if you comfortable doing the job then its good.

cheers.
OMG I just read your sig, how much have you spent on your car, some killer mods there javascript:void(0);

The ebay listing one is what you want. Quite overpriced in that listing as the module itself is only £42 from dealers! I got my own wiring components though and modded them to fit. Works a dream and no loss of reception in the city or out in the middle of nowhere!
-
Will it work with an alpine? The alpine does send a 12v feed! Dab reception is crap!
I have seen the converters that allow you to use the original aerial but been that it had mfd and aerial in rear screen means I can't use that sort of thing I think?
-
I also had mfd 2 fitted before so it's for the aerial switching unit under drivers seat! Would this allow me to just change one of the rear screen amps and not have to run the extra wire?
-
I fitted the polo DAB roof aerial in the end and ran extra cable under roof lining.
Reception is nearly perfect now, with only weakest signal BBC Essex dropping out over about 1mile of my commute.
