Title: Temperature Guage reading low
Post by: AndreWilk on March 12, 2014, 12:25:16 pm
Hi all,

I've just recently bought a 2007 Mk 5 Gti 5 Door DSG in grey and love it!

Only trouble is the temperature guage on the dashboard doesn't really get off 50 on a long run it will move a bit but soon sinks down when you're moving along.

Now I have read that there are several temp sensors and having spoken to the stealers they have said that there is a coolant temp sensor about £40.

Does anyone know which sensor would directly control the guage on the dashboard.

I still get hot and cold air out of the heater.

The other issue is that once warmed up it can be a little jerky at slow speeds, I was wondering if the thermostat might have something to do with scewing up the correct fueling or if this is a different problem.

Many thanks for all you help!

A
