Title: BP instead of Shell?
Post by: Simmo on March 13, 2014, 08:33:04 am: So we're moving into our nice new house next week but we've moved to an area where there isnt a Shell garage for miles.

But there is a BP station round the corner.

On a remapped GTI has anyone seen any issues with using BP Ultimate? Any loss in power/mpg compared to using vpower?

Post by: Nodz on March 13, 2014, 09:24:25 am: I think BP is only 97Ron where as shell v power is 99Ron. If there's a Tesco nearby their momentum is 99Ron (the tesco's with an esso are only 97ron)

Its about 147-9.9 around my way with Vpower Nitro being 136-8.9

I avoid BP like a plague unless I have no other choice and then only put a small amount in!!

he would always say stick to vpower but what is 2nd choice? hopefully he'll see this thread.

Tesco's in my area don't do 99..... So I always fill up at BP...

BP is closest so its Ultimate for me, had to use an Asda in an emergency last year :ashamed: but didnt notice any notable difference (except price) tbh.
