Hi,
My DSG is playing up and has developed the infamous jerkiness when the engine is warm/hot/running to temperature. All fine when cold but as soon as warms up the jerkiness when setting off in 1st begins. All rest of gears are fine.
Is there any dealer in the London area you can recommend where you had good experience with GTI / DSG issues ? I booked provisionally with one in South London but I read that their group is getting some HORRIBLE reviews on PH... so I officially ask the help of the community..

Can I ask whether it jerks every time after the engine has warmed up or just occasionally and does it do it in reverse too?

Citygate collindale were very good when I used them for a DSG oil change the other day

Every time it's warmed up first and reverse indeed. Parking can get pretty interesting then...

Update on the issue.. Car has been with VW Battersea Lookers for 3 days now and they first tried to update the software of the DSG but that failed to resolve the issue. They will now replace the "clutch pack". I tried to hint about the mechatronic unit being the culprit for similar issues but they are adamant that replacing the clutches will solve it.
Work should be done through the extended warranty.
I have to add the car only has 6k miles despite being a 2009 car and is driven "gently" most of the time with no launch control (not even sure it has the function to be honest) nor has any power upgrades..
Am curious if the clutch pack change will solve the issue... will report back

It's okay if replacing the clutchpacks doesn't resolve the problem they'll replace the mechatronics as well foc so no worries.
