Title: speaker has started whining

bit of a strange one

was doing a long drive in the s3 the other day.. and i started to hear a kind of supercharger sort of whine coming from the rear passenger side speaker.. sometimes it increases with rpm aswell  :grin:.. doesnt always do it, sometimes its very faint and stops if i turn the headunit off

all audio is stock audi

any ideals? im no good with electrics atall

If its increasing with the rev range it points towards an earth fault usually within the speaker it self. I would whip it out and see if there is a loose wire, if not swap the 2 rear speakers over and see if it continues on the other side. Would also be wirth checking the connections in the back of the HU, possibility of a loose wire to that speaker.
