Title: Recaro Wingback Buckets
Post by: TommyR on March 14, 2014, 06:48:46 pm
Anyone know if you can get these but with the Edition 30 half leather half tartan, similar to the left seat?

Best bet is to buy some leather fronts for £2000 and get them re trimmed with some tartan

And you'll be lucky to find GTI embossed ones.. Most are R32 seats

Yh I guessed if they were made they would be silly money like, it’s just I saw some Pirelli Edition ones before on Instagram and it got me thinking. I guess if I decide to get some, then the R32/S3 full leather ones would have to do.

I heard/read about the 5K price tag too but wasn’t sure if it was true or not and these are what I saw…

Just not sure if someone’s good on Photoshop or if there real!

The words " hens teeth" spring to mind, but these are probably the nicest seats ever

I always try and search before posting, to avoid asking something that has already been asked...

However as I don't know who nath is, could you tell me his username to help narrow my search?

Nath, or his user name is Greeners, had the GTI Recaros not Edition 30 ones. Someone on the forum got there's re trimmed in an Edition 30 style but they were not an option offered by VW. :happy2:

It's a pretty simple job if you find a trimmer. Personally I'd go mk5 gti tartan instead of the mk6, but the mk5 stuff is hard
To come across unless you're willing to cut yor seats.

I searched everywhere to get hold of the mk5 interlagos but couldn't get it from anywhere so ended up getting the mk6 stuff, and I have to say that I am being to prefer it to the mk5...

Any decent trimmer will be able to get the fabric you want.

Seats around £1800 for the front pair and a retrim around £800-1k.
