:happy2: Hi Guys,
I am currently looking at replacing all my discs and pads on my Ed30 was going to go to Quickfit but then discovered that VW was £100 cheaper.
Having looked at all the brake mods and swaps on here I thought I'd look at alternative options but without changing calipers etc.
I've come across MTEC brakes and the reviews I found on google seem promising, so I was thinking of buying a set of drilled and grooved discs front and rear for a modest £214.
Still trying to figure out what the best pads are for these type of discs but perhaps I may just opt for the MTEC pads.
The car is not mapped and I simply need to replace the brakes due to wear, the drilled look is simply for looks than performance.
Anybody tried these? Or willing to suggest a better alternative?
Budget for brakes and pads are around the £350-£400 mark.
Thanks in advance :happy2:

I've tried mtec discs and mintex pads, and I wouldn't touch them again, I suffered with wheel wobble vibration and pad squeal.
But on the other hand I know one person who has had no trouble with them

I am running mtec discs and there fine just suffer from a bit of squeal every now and then running brembo hp2000 pads with them for the price there spot on
