Title: 2006 GTi. Which headunit have i got?

As per the title does anyone know what head unit is fitted to my Golf GTi? Is it an RCD300 or RCD500? Also does it have CANBUS?

How can I find out which manufacturer has made my RCD300? I'm looking at getting a Dension Gateway 100, and the supplier wants to know whether Grundig or Visteon made my headunit.

taking it out and looking will be the safest bet mate

Thanks for that idea. was hoping to find out via a simpler method as this was my last resort, but I suppose I can be sure to get it right without any worries!
