Just seen my Edition 30 DSG up for sale at Colbornes in Walton, Surrey .... 08 plate with 13K for a fiver under £21K :surprised:
It only cost me £22500 new 18 months earlier !!
They are sought after and prices are ... well ... holding rather well ....
A top car, was faultless and rattle free - If anyone buys it and sees this + wants a Bluefin remap I may be able to help

£22.5k new back then?
hope you got a good price for it then

Yes, £22.5K new - I got a good deal as the other half knows a dealer well .... I had looked at a secondhand one with 11K on it for £23K !!!
I got £18,250 for mine - which for a trade in after 18 months I was happy with ... especially as it had nothing to do with the price I got my 'new' car for - that deal being worked out separately to avoid being 'done' by the dealer !

Its only good if your selling now - and if you find someone willing to pay that - prices will come down
-
Prices have gone through the roof for good MK5 GTI's especially the Edition 30.....just look at Autotrader!
Haven't bothered to put mine on there as I'm holding station with PH and am in no hurry.

i ve just trsded mine in , stripped most of the mods and only lost £3k in 2 years cant complain at that

The average used car price is up £700.

Prices have levelled though now.
A couple of months ago, on all my trade cars, I was getting 10% over book, but now its book or under - but some prices have been artificially inflated.
