Sorry for what might seem a stupid question but how can I find out the exact colour / paint code of my golf?

Usually a sticker in the boot/wheel well area, or first inside page of your service book.

Four digits, eg LA7T is mine

Thanks for the info mine is also LA7T looking on the internet it says 'United Grey' is this correct?

I have heard it called united grey and steel grey, as long as you give LA7T to whoever needs it, that's the exact colour
