take a coil pack and a spark plug with you.
other than that the car will eat the trip up like a walk in the park imho.

Roger that! When I last went there I was asked to hold onto the taxi door from the inside 'just in case' it decided to make a break for freedom! Good luck with your trip though :happy2:

Check with your insurers to see if you're covered to Morocco, most UK insurers will cover you as far as the EU and not beyond. You probably need to apply for a Green Card going to Morocco.
I agree that you should get it fully serviced before you set out for peace of mind. A bottle of octane booster may help offset the low octane fuels in some remote areas if you have been running Super on the GTI. Tyre weld would be a good idea for emergency puncture repairs. Other than the standard travel kit you shouldn't really have problems (fingers crossed)!

Make sure you can remove all 4 wheels easily, (none welded to the hubs etc). Check your tyre pressures and the spare too while your at it.
