Ive got first refusal on this GTI, going to have a look at it on Tuesday. Id be really interested to hear everyones opinions and what l should be looking out for. To me it looks well specced, my only major concern is the mileage, what do you think?

Looks like a good one. Very cheap too, I wouldn't expect much if any haggle room on the price.
As stated mileage not so much of an issue, service history is more important.
Xenon lights and heated leather are nice to have.
-
As above, don't let the mileage put you off. Looks like a very good spec and price. My 06 plate has 94k, but still going strong.
-
Look at it and make your own decision.. since you'll be there seeing it?!
" Light damage (paint not broken) on passenger side, reflected in price. " so bare that in mind.

Mk5 GTIs don't come much cheaper than that and it seems quite a decent spec. As above when you go and see it check the condition and go through the documents.
-
Looks like a good spec, just looks like it needs a thorough clean on the interior and some new fog grills.
Providing its got good service history and you're willing to take on a car with that mileage it looks ok. Just check that all the obvious stuff has been done, belt and water pump etc.

Looks tidy, parking sensors and armrest as well.
Check front wings for rust and rear tailgate (I was behind a 54 plate in drive thru the other day and it had terrible rust around the vw emblem boot handle)
-
Also HPi it as well to make sure it hasn't been involved in any accident or has any outstanding finance on it.
-
Looks like a good one there. Be worth replacing Diverter valve and Cam follower if you go for it :happy2:

First thing I would do is tell the seller that I would want to photograph him in the car - next I would tell him if he wants cash, payment will only be made in the local police station (so both of you can be recorded on the police stations video)!
Only then would I bother going to view,as there's too many crooks on that "Selling" game!
Then I would look on this list

See who is closest to you and scan the vehicle, then I would put my boiler suit on and check it over with my eyes and hopefully a fellow members eyes, who would know more than you on the type of vehicle your hoping to purchase - keeping in mind any of the additional advice offered above.

Good price with plenty of spec too, xenons, leathers, armrest & parking sensors. :happy2:
