Title: K&N typhoon intake
Post by: Sug on March 24, 2014, 04:17:13 pm
As the title states are these any good as I have been offered one at a decent price. My first choice would be the Evoms but just curious to see if anyone has used the K&N before as at £350 new that's a lot of money to be s***e  :happy2:

They aren't particularly great from what I've read. Your best sticking with ITG / EVOMS if your after power gains from your intake  :happy2:

I used to run one on my old Evo 8 and its was a great piece of kit. Not sure what it'll be like on the vag engines.

^^^ this man speaks the truth^^^^

Use to run one in my car back in 2011. Fitment was not nearly as good as the price suggested. Additionally after having used multiple intakes myself.
I would also recommend the ITG/EVOMS or VWR intake,.
