Hi,
Have a 2006 mk5 gti with 95k on the clock.
The car suffers from stuttering under heavy acceleration in all gears when in a low rev range, read lots on it on various forums but never seems to be a solution. So far ive changed the DV to the GFB one and changed the spark plugs with one plug covered heavily in soot. Changing plugs didnt make a difference but what would cause sooting on one plug, bad injector?

Have you had it fault coded to see if there is anything logged
-
a friend who's a mechanic ran it through VAG com but no errors showed up.
-
Is your car mapped or stock?
-
is it a DSG?
-
Have you changed your fuel filter recently and cam follower?
-
My old GTI used to stutter under load. No fault codes either, I never fixed it but I think the LPFP was failing

Coil Packs! :happy2:
Stuttering under load is a telltale sign of ignition problems, most often caused by (common fault) failing coil packs and/or dirty spark plugs. Change 'em out.

I didn't have the same issue as you but there was a recall from VW about coil packs from a certain year, mine is a 05 and got them done free of charge when i went in for my last service so there may be issues with these older ones!

its a manual and stock, forgot to say i did have the cam follower done but it made no difference. Not done the fuel filter, Ill try the coil packs and see if it makes a difference.
Ill give VW a call and see if it came in as part of any recalls.

First things I'd be looking at are,
Change Spark Plugs,
Change Fuel Filter,
If it persists then change Coils.
I had the same with my Bocanegra, new Sparks sorted it straight away.
