Gorgeous mate, simply gorgeous. Completely jealous too.
I take it Nousey had already cleaned and prepped the rims?
Lemme know what you think of the road noise when you go from the pescaras to the monzas.
What are you wrapping them with?

Sorry i didnt phone you Jazz, my phone battery conked out on the m40, so couldnt ring you. I did take a steady drive home, but at 10pm at night on the motorway with little traffic .

Don't worry about it. I wasn't going to be able to make it anyway (last minute change of plans)!

The Monzas are a piece of cake to clean and to protect using Poorboys Wheel Sealant and some collinite wax.
...and no im not Wrapping nothing round those either jazz
I meant tyres! Which tyres are you gonna go for? Or are you gonna take the ones off the pescaras?

Have decided to buy some Vrrederstren Sessanta's (excuse for spelling ).
A. because of fairly good feedback from fellow GTi Members.
B. Cheap for £90 each
C. They look a good tyre, not boring side wall design etc
D. Have had to cut back on funds for financial reasons.Unexpected wallet bashing on something else. ( Goodyear Asyms were 1st choice).
So roll on Monday morning, Phylis all Bathed and ready to roll :happy2:
-
Look forward to seeing the pics.
-
Look forward to seeing the pics and would really appreciate some feedback on the tyres. Seems I'm not too far off needing some new boots:(
-
I almost went for the Vred's - they look like a decent tyre. I ended up with the Avon ZV5 as they were slight cheaper and supply was easie. I heard road noise on the Vred's can be more noticable.
(this was only on the Touran mind you)
Be interested to see what you think and see the car with those wheels on!
-
They are gonna look fantastic Phil

Ok, straight back from the Garage, havent had time to put a shiny rag at the car yet, but hope you like them, already had people stood around the car at the garage saying how smart they are and goes well with the car.

-
wow they look fantastic
-
How are the tyres?
1st impressions, lighter steering, quieter on the roads, but havent yet put the foot down due to precious load in boot on way back from Garage! :happy2:.
They look a very pretty Tire as tyres go :signLOL: Side wall design and edge protection is adequate.

They do look good. In my humble opinion - the car sits just right and does not need lowering for those who have suggested it does
Whoever is driving in the first picture looks like they have really short arms
-
they look really good. wicked choice. ride height looks good as it is.
-
:happy2: spot on!
-
Whoever is driving in the first picture looks like they have really short arms
My 2 year daughter
Cherry, you had me there!!!!...
Thanx Everyone, when i sit in it, the ride height gets lower :signLOL:, so for the moment she sits very well :congrats:
Just put the Pescara's in the loft to gather some dust to someone decides to kerb them :scared:
Once again big thankyou everyone :drinking:
-
How are the tyres?
Gave Phylis a blast this afternoon, and in the dry, flat out foot to floor in 2nd gear, absolutely no Wheel spin, so that says something
Very Impressed thus far.
-
what tyres are on there again?
-

and this thread is now gonna cost me money lol.... i was gonna sell my monzas to part finance the lm reps but i think i will keep and get painted next year. dam dam dammit!

matsu
-
what tyres are on there again?
On the front Vredestein Sessanta ultrac's new ones.£90 each inc vat
Still have the rears to change (Dunlop Sportmax) as ive overspent this month with Car insurance years premium, alloys and 2 tyres has been costly.
Still have 6mm on the rears so will last till new year.
-
Steve you dissapoint me, no sig change as yet? :signLOL:
-
Lol I thought he would have changed his sig by now too.
Looking very swish. There's only one thing that would make it better.........stick the rims on my car!
How's the ride? I found more road noise transmission in the Monzas than the Pescaras. You?
-
Steve you dissapoint me, no sig change as yet? :signLOL:
Oh its coming . Be patient Skywalker
-
How's the ride? I found more road noise transmission in the Monzas than the Pescaras.
Cant say i noticed any different, but the steering feels lighter, but i think thats the tyres are the reason for that tbh. Road feel Via the steering wheel is LESS with the monza's imo.
-
looking good steve :happy2:
-
Think I need to see them in the flesh to fully make my mind up, colour co-ordination is spot on though...like the black compliments everywhere :happy2:
-
fail with the sig phil!
you cant see the wheels and youve got the proportions all skew whiff!
-
Looking good :happy2:
I'm not surprised Nathan wants them back!
-
Awesome look Phil... A Real head turner.I'm impressed :popcornsoda:
-
Yes please, I am really liking that. Congrats, that looks the DB's.
Why o why didn't the ED30 come standard with the black monza II's like the rest of the world........
-
Thankyou Everyone.. :drinking:
Sig change as per usual :ashamed:
-
Just 1 word.. wow... i have to say Phil, these really really suit red well !
You should be very proud
p.s - i think the ride height is just right... maybe a touch more lower ? but not much more !!!
-
gorg :happy2: , more gloss to polish :notworthy:
-
That looks incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vinyl Wrap on the B pillars are shiny underneath
Black Mirror casings would be a good idea :drinking:
Anyone want to swop their Black wing mirrors for Red ones  with optional Carbon wraps?
-
any more feedback on the tyres Phil.
Got a blowout on the m6 yesterday and need 2 new tyres

Most people have been getting them mail order from Camskills over the last few weeks - £85.95 inc VAT :happy2:
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b758s134p12423
I'm surprised they still have any left in this size

Yea, £176 for 2 delivered. My trusty garage will fit them for £20 so £196 in total. Other options were F1's (which i have and love) for £256 and PS2's for £270 fitted. I just treated myself to a nice 46" TV (it was in my boot when i got the puncture) and need every penny so £60 saved is very useful and to be honest I really fancy giving them a go. As well as coming second in the evo tyre test, they were rated the best on the road. Ride, feel and noise were all rated the best with these.
-
Well had the tyres fitted this morning and couldn't be happier. Nice feel, loads of grip, very quiet, ride smoothly and the tread pattern looks very cool. On the downside, the rim protector is quite small, got to be really careful around the curbs, i fear there will be no second chances
An absolute bargain I think, will be interesting to see how long they last?
