Hey,
I left the house this morning and wanted to double check that my car was locked, so I pressed the lock button on the keyfob and a couple of seconds later I heard a "boing" noise. (I have not used the car since last night) This happened twice within a couple of seconds of each other, I was standing outside the car and I could hear it outside with all the doors shut.
It's the same sound as when you press the TIM button on the rcd510 to bring up the traffic announcement and if there isn't one there then it makes the same sound as when I locked my doors.
Does anyone know why it did this noise after pressing the lock button?
Cheers
Craigh

Getting this also
Any ideas ?

Probably letting you know you've just turned the interior alarm sensor off and disabled the deadlocks. If the car is locked and you press the lock button again, that's what happens.
If you want to check it's locked properly with the deadlocks etc you're better off unlocking it and then re-locking it again.

I have know it bong when you leave either interior or exterior lights on. Make sure all lights and vanity lights are not on. (just a guess)

Parking lights enabled maybe?

The parking light bong comes in when you take the key outnof the ignition ! Took me a while to figure that out the other week lol
