Title: GT Tdi high level brake light
Post by: S4nup on March 31, 2014, 07:00:19 pm
Hi all
Got myself a gti spoiler for the bootlid of my gttdi and wanted some guidance on fitting. I realise that I need some bits (the gti high level brake light and what looks to be like 2 bolts (dealer???))

However I guess that I need to remove the existing high level brake light. Searching really only shows me how to remove the gti brake light by breaking it out, but I guess it is different for the gttdi? Any ideas?? Thanks

Just comes straight out only clipped in - use a plastic trim tool then unplug it that's it. :happy2:

Nice one mate! Thanks for the response! Are the bolts needed and does anyone have the part number for the gti brake light??

Thanks for this. Managed to get the high level brake light from tps, but they don't have the bolts or washers in stock. Annoyingly it seems all the dealerships in North London now use TPS who require you to go in and pay for the order before they will order the bits in and then have to go and collect. This is a pain in the bottom as it means 2 journeys for the sake of £3 worth of items. Anyone know of an online link where I can order the items?

Thanks
