Title: GTi recalls

Hi, i've heard of afew recalls on the mk5, but unsure if mines had them done...what recalls have been done in recent times? Coil packs? breather?

How can i tell what the recalls are and if my needs them or had them?

Go to your local VW and register yourself on their network thingy and they will tell you if your car has had them and will notify you if you need any doing in the future.

That's what I did when i got my ED30 anyway! I said to them I read online that there is various recalls and I'm wondering if my car has had them, they put me on the system and told me what I wanted to know.

car now registered, apparently not had any recalls, and doesn't require any either....maybe at the year/build date which missed the coil packs etc...?

Try this link, just pop in your VIN or reg number and it let's you know if your car is subject to any recalls...

Cheers, although looks like the sytstem is down at present...
